The IAFSW Association participated in an activity to expand the Buriram Reform: Smart Camp Smart Classroom project, demonstrating the “Smart to Know, Smart to Think, Smart to Do” classroom.
On May 8, 2025, the Association for the Promotion and Development of STEM Workforce for the Future (IAFSW) was honored to be invited as a speaker in the outreach activity of the Buriram Reform: Smart Camp Smart Classroom project, themed “Smart to Know, Smart to Think, Smart to Do.” This initiative aimed to develop teachers’ abilities in organizing activities and enhancing skills in STEM Education, English and Chinese communication, financial literacy, and health knowledge. The focus was on active learning processes to ignite dreams and inspire teachers to design high-quality learning management, fostering smart knowledge acquisition, smart thinking, and smart doing.
The activity comprised 9 learning stations as follows:
Station 1: Cha-Ching Financial Literacy at Anuban Buriram School, Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1.
Station 2: Spark your English: Building Confidence and Igniting English Language Skills at Buriram Phittayakhom School, Buriram Secondary Educational Service Area Office.
Station 3: Innovative Chinese Language Learning with Smart AI at Hua Chiew School.
Station 4: PlayFACTO Applied Mathematics Activities for Creative Thinking and Problem-Solving at Anuban Buriram School, Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1.
This station was conducted by The IAFSW Association.
The IAFSW Association was invited to organize activities at this station, emphasizing the application of Game-Based Learning concepts in mathematics teaching. This aimed to enable teachers to:
Learn approaches to managing learning through games, making mathematics teaching easier to understand and more enjoyable.
Develop analytical and problem-solving skills.
Practice planning and systematic thinking.
Enhance creativity in solving problems.
At this station, 100 primary and secondary school teachers participated and enjoyed PlayFACTO Learning Tools, an internationally recognized learning resource from Korea. The atmosphere was filled with fun and inspired teachers to adopt PlayFACTO learning resources to develop their students’ skills in schools.
Station 5: Health Literacy at Pela Ploen Learning Center, Buriram.
Station 6: English Language Proficiency Testing according to the CEFR framework at the HCEC Center, Prakhonchai Phittayakhom School.
Station 7: Chinese Language Learning through E-learning according to the HSK 1 – 3 framework at the HCEC Center, Nangrong Phittayakhom School, Buriram Secondary Educational Service Area Office.
Station 8: Digital Competency Learning on the OBEC Learning website and the use of Google for Education at Nangrong School, Buriram Secondary Educational Service Area Office.
Station 9: English Summer Camp at Marieanusorn School.
The opening ceremony was honored by Police General Permpoon Chidchob, Minister of Education, as the chairperson. Dr. Pattana Pattanavedej, Deputy Secretary-General of the Basic Education Commission, delivered the reporting speech on behalf of Acting Sub.Lt. Dr. Thanu Wongjinda, Secretary-General of the Basic Education Commission. Dr. Kessaraporn Suppawanich, Deputy Secretary-General of the Basic Education Commission, also graced the event with her presence to commend and encourage the participating teachers. High-ranking executives and experts also honored the opening ceremony.
The IAFSW Association remains committed to supporting Thai teachers to possess the potential for learning management that meets the needs of the digital age, particularly in promoting the use of Game-Based Learning media that makes teaching and learning fun, engaging, and effective. The association is dedicated to driving Thai education towards a quality and sustainable future.
