IAFSW Collaborates in Organizing Smart Classroom Demonstration to Enhance STEM Skills for Thai Students

On January 30, 2025, the Association for the Promotion and Development of STEM Workforce for the Future (IAFSW), led by Vice President Dr. Duangsamon Klongsara, collaborated in the “Smart Classroom Demonstration” event, held at Phayathai School in Bangkok. The event aimed to develop STEM education skills, English and Chinese communication skills, and financial literacy for primary school students. The focus was on fostering knowledge, critical thinking, and practical skills through hands-on activities that encourage creativity and action. This initiative is designed to spark dreams, motivate learning, and provide real-life opportunities for students.

The event was honored by the presence of M.L. Pariyada Diskul, Chairperson of the Committee for the Promotion of Foreign Language Development for Communication for People of All Ages, Ministry of Education. Additionally, several key figures in education collaborated, including Dr. Peeranuch Chaipidet, Director of Phayathai School; Dr. Atitaya Panya, Director of the Human Capacity Enhancement Management Center (HCEMC); Dr. Ekwat Losuniran, Director of the Bangkok Primary Educational Service Area Office; Mrs. Apiluck Yamsaard, Director of the Academic Department of the Yamsaard Schools Group, along with teachers from Phayathai School and the Yamsaard Schools Group, who attended to inaugurate and observe the teaching methodologies that can be applied practically.

The event featured six learning stations, each with a specific objective to promote various skills. The IAFSW was invited to conduct activities at Station 3, titled “STEM: Play FACTO – Smart Thinking and Doing with STEM,” which focused on learning through Creative Math and Innovation. This station aimed to enhance analytical and problem-solving skills in an engaging and enjoyable manner. Other stations included “Spark your English,” promoting pride and inspiration in English communication skills, “English Summer Camp,” enhancing passion and experiences in English, “Cha-Ching: Financial Literacy,” promoting money management through games and activities, “New Dimension Chinese Learning with AI,” learning Chinese through AI applications, and “English Village,” offering enjoyable and practical English learning experiences.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and inspiration, providing students with modern learning experiences. The activities aimed to build foundational skills in mathematics, analytical thinking, and financial management, essential for their future.
